GUITAR TUTOR NOTTINGHAM

My name is Alex Farran, and I’m a professional musician living near Nottingham. I make my living from recording sessions and gigs, and I teach guitar to over 35 private students on a weekly basis. I’m 38 years old, and guitar and music has been my passion since the age of 5. I’ve dedicated my life to it in all of it’s forms and I absolutely adore teaching and passing my discoveries on to my students.

Whether you’re a total beginner looking to finally realise that life long dream of mastering the guitar, or an expert looking to broaden your musical horizons and find new inspiration or whether you want to hone in on a particular style and really dig deep, I’m confident that I am the man to take you on that journey, and make it extremely enjoyable and completely satisfying along the way.

If you browse through my styles at the top of the page, you’ll see that as well as teaching everything from Jazz to Rock, I also specialise in some very niche areas such as Gypsy Jazz and early swing, Fingerstyle acoustic, trad jazz and twangy telecaster country among many other styles.
