BLUES GUITAR LESSONS NOTTINGHAM

The blues is where it all began for most modern guitarists and I specialise in both acoustic and electric blues guitar in all of its forms.

From the early acoustic spirituals of Charlie Patton, Washington Phillips and Robert Johnson, to the bottleneck sounds of the Mississippi delta with players like Robert Johnson, Son House and Bukka White. The ragtime styles of Blind Blake and Blind Willie McTell, to the folk infused fingerpicking of John Fahey, Big Bill Broonzy and Davey Graham. The swing influenced blues of Lonnie Johnson

 

The electric blues that started in Chicago with Muddy Waters, Otis Rush and Freddie King, to B.B King, Elmore James and Howlin’ Wolf. The 60’s blues revival with players like Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Mike Bloomfield, and Peter Green, to later blues icons such as Stevie Ray Vaughan, ZZ Top and Derek Trucks.

 

I’ve studied all of these styles in extreme depth and I can teach you to play any of them with 100% authenticity. You’ll be sounding like your heroes in no time at all!
